If you are planning on travelling distance to attractions, we would recommend that you contact the venues directly in advance to avoid disappointment.
If you, or any of your party have a new persistant cough, or develop a fever of 38C, we would instead advise you to use the NHS's dedicated website for professional advice.
Beckingham Marshes is a major habitat creation project on the River Trent floodplain. We're working with a local grazier to re-establish a wet grazing marsh habitat lost after World War II. It'll provide ideal conditions for lots of wetland wildlife – particularly breeding wading birds, such as lapwings and curlews - but also water voles, dragonflies and damselflies, amphibians and a variety of aquatic plant life. In winter, the flooded fields will also attract wildfowl such as wigeons, teals, gadwalls, whooper and Bewick’s swans. There's no visitor centre as such, but The Old Willow Works may be open, depending on volunteer availability. There is a car park there, open from 9 am to 5 pm. Refreshments are available at a garden centre in Saundby, 1 mile away.
We're open all day every day. The car park is open from 9 am to 5 pm.
It's free, but donations are very welcome.
No dogs allowed, except registered assistance dogs
